We are looking for up to 10 high school teachers who are interested in participating with students in the week-long Biotech Summer Camp. A modest stipend of $250 will be awarded for participation. You will also meet a full variety of college faculty and industry partners who are a part of this career field.

As a teacher leader, you will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of a team of no more than 10 students for the week. As a team, you will support the daily activities of your team and help to guide students as they experience hands-on learning throughout the week. You will also participate in the field visits and support the Camp coordinators to ensure all students are cared for during the week.

As a teacher leader, we hope you will be able to participate in two coordinating meetings which have been set to go over the details of the Camp and to orient you to the goals & objectives of this exciting student experience. You will be informed of the dates in early May.

Because participation is limited to 10 teachers at the Summer Engineering, Construction and Manufacturing Camp, you should register immediately. You will be informed of your selection at the Summer Camp within a day of receiving your registration.

If you would like additional information, please let us know below. Or you may contact Louise Barbee, County Office of Education, at 925-942-3385.
